PermanentmagnetbrushlessDC motor(PMBLDCM)isusedinair-conditioning systems and runsatrated torque andvariablespeed to achieveenergyconservation.Theanalysis,designandperformanceoftheproposedPFCconverteriscarriedoutfora1.2kW,1200rpm,164 V PMBLDCMused in air-conditioningsystem.ThePFCconverterismodeledand itsperformanceissimulatedinMatlab-Simulinkenvironment.Theimprovedpower factorofthedriveis evaluated inwide range.
