%X Este trabajo tiene el prop車sito de analizar las actividades de cooperaci車n en el 芍mbito tecnol車gico entre Espa a y Argentina, a la luz del an芍lisis de las patentes argentinas y, entre ellas, las que surgen de la colaboraci車n con Espa a. El an芍lisis se encuadra, as赤, en el marco m芍s amplio del estudio de las pol赤ticas de ciencia, tecnolog赤a e innovaci車n de ambos pa赤ses, as赤 como de los v赤nculos de cooperaci車n entre ellos. Para tal fin, se han consultado las bases de datos de la United States Patents & Trademark Office (USPTO) y la European Patent Database (EPO), recabando informaci車n para el per赤odo 2000-2009. Los resultados del estudio revelan que, pese a que existe cooperaci車n cient赤fica entre Argentina y Espa a, las acciones bilaterales con posible proyecci車n de mercado que se han emprendido en los 迆ltimos a os no han redundado en la generaci車n de patentes. Sin embargo, esos lazos de cooperaci車n pueden servir para la identificaci車n futura de espacios de actuaci車n y la puesta en marcha de iniciativas de car芍cter tecnol車gico-empresarial de inter谷s com迆n. This paper aims to analyze the activities of technological cooperation between Spain and Argentina, focusing on the analysis of Argentina's patents and, among them, those arising from the collaboration with Spain. The framework of this analysis is the broader context of the study of science, technology and innovation policies in both countries, as well as the cooperation ties between them. To this end, we have consulted the databases of the United States Patents & Trademark Office (USPTO) and the European Patent Database (EPO), gathering information for the period 2000-2009. The results of the study reveal that, although there is scientific cooperation between Argentina and Spain, the bilateral activities with possible market projections undertaken in recent years have not resulted in the generation of patents. However, those cooperation ties can be used for future identification of action areas and the implementation of technological and business initiatives of common interest.
