%X En La Habana, existen 15 hospitales cl¨ªnico-quir¨²rgicos y 3, generales. El objetivo del trabajo fue recopilar datos de las figuras cubanas de referencia para nombrar los hospitales y se relacion¨® con una investigaci¨®n entre el MINSAP y el ISPJAE para aplicar un procedimiento para implementar la gesti¨®n integrada que se inici¨® con una s¨ªntesis hist¨®rica de cada uno. Los materiales y m¨¦todos fueron: an¨¢lisis documental, b¨²squeda bibliogr¨¢fica, entrevista, el trabajo en grupo, s¨ªntesis y otros. El Ministerio de Salud P¨²blica reconoce el aporte de las personalidades cubanas y del mundo al desarrollo de la Medicina en Cuba y sus instituciones se nombran usando este criterio y por la significaci¨®n del lugar. Se recomienda continuar argumentando sobre los nombres de los hospitales cubanos para ampliar la informaci¨®n que existe al respecto. In Cuba there are 35 clinical-surgical hospitals, from them 11 are in Havana. Their mission is giving specialized medical and surgical preventive, curative and also rehabilitative cares to all people all over the country without interruption. The main objective in this paper is to compile in a small synthesis specific historical data of Cuban personalities who give names to clinical-surgical Hospitals in Havana City. For this we applied: the documental analysis, bibliographical research, synthesis and other methods and different kinds of materials. The Ministry of Cuban Public Health recognizes how those important Cuban personalities and some from other countries in the World have contributed to the development of Medicine in Cuba. We suggested continuing this study and in a larger way, giving more arguments about the importance of the personalities named in order to contribute more to this small synthesis.
