%X The present article constitutes a critical comment on the issue of smoking ban. It places the case of the contrast between smokers and non-smokers at a sociological basis, perceiving it as a separate aspect of the dipole ¡®civilized-uncivilized¡¯. Accepting the assumption that characterizations and partition walls captivate people in immutable identities, the writer claims that the new anti-smoking campaign is self-refuted because it creates its own antibodies against it.
