%X O pensamento internacional e estrat谷gico de Raymond Aron 谷 indissoci芍vel da sua pr車pria filosofia cr赤tica da hist車ria, nos termos em que a concebeu nos anos de 1930, ap車s ter passado uma temporada na Alemanha. Marcado pelo fil車sofo pacifista Alain, Aron converte-se ao realismo que 谷 posto 角 prova pelas guerras do s谷culo xx. N o se deve contudo assimilar Aron sem mais nem menos ao estrito realismo anglo-americano de Hans Morgenthau e Kenneth Waltz. Oposto 角 constru  o de uma teoria geral das rela  es internacionais assente na modeliza  o, 谷 arauto de uma sociologia hist車rica de inspira  o weberiana, procurando tornar inteleg赤vel a cena internacional na complexidade que lhe 谷 pr車pria. Raymond Aron＊s international and strategic thought is inextricably linked to his own critical philosophy of history, as he conceived it in the 1930s, after spending a period of time in Germany. Influenced by pacifist philosopher Alain, Aron is converted to realism, which is put to the test by the 20th century wars. It is not advisable, however, to associate Aron tout court to the strict Anglo-american realism of Hans Morgenthau and Kenneth Waltz. Against the construction of a general theory of International Relations based on model-building, he is the harbinger of a historical sociology of Weberian inspiration, seeking to render the international scene intelligible in its peculiar complexity.
