%X Durante la primera mitad del siglo XX, se presentaron proyectos de integraci車n en Am谷rica Latina a la luz del concepto "Panamericanismo" y estrechamente ligados al surgimiento de Estados Unidos como potencia mundial. Para la segunda mitad de siglo, despu谷s de la creaci車n de la Comisi車n Econ車mica para Am谷rica Latina (CEPAL), aparecieron proyectos que bajo el apellido "latinoamericana" (ALALC, ALADI), reflejaron la renovaci車n de los prop車sitos de integraci車n. No obstante, reaparecieron dificultades para la comunidad regional. Actualmente, existen dos proyectos en proceso de formaci車n para destacar: el Mercado Com迆n del Sur (Mercosur, en 1994), que ha continuado muy a pesar de las variadas dificultades que se le presentan, entendidas muchas de 谷stas por su reciente constituci車n. Y hace poco surgi車 un nuevo proyecto: la Uni車n de Naciones Suramericanas, (Unasur, en 2008), que alterna como propuesta de integraci車n con la Alternativa Bolivariana para los Pueblos de Nuestra Am谷rica (ALBA, en 2004). Estos ambiciosos proyectos interact迆an de frente al variopinto espectro pol赤tico-ideol車gico de la regi車n suramericana. El objetivo es hacer un an芍lisis de los dos recientes proyectos de integraci車n teniendo presente el contexto pol赤tico-ideol車gico de la regi車n y su repercusi車n en el proceso de formaci車n de los mismos. During the first half of the XXth Century, projects of integration in Latin America, in the light of the concept of .Pan-Americanism., and closely related to the emergence of the U.S. as a global power, were proposed. For the second half of the century, after the Creation of the Economic Commission for Latin America (CEPAL, in Spanish), projects appeared that, under the last name of .Latin American. (ALALC, ALADI), reflected the renewal of integration purposes. Nevertheless, difficulties for the regional community reappeared. At present, there are two outstanding projects under formation: The Southern Common Market (Mercosur, in 1994) that has survived in spite of varied difficulties, many of these explained by its recent constitution. And a little while ago, a new project appeared: The South American Union of Naciones, (Unasur, in 2008 ), sharing goals with the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of our America (ALBA, in 2004). These ambitious projects interact among the varied political ideological spectrum of the South American region. The objective in this article is to present an analysis of the two recent integration projects, bearing in mind the political ideological context of the region and its repercussion in their processes of formation.
