The development achieved by thecomputer has enabled the rescue of relatively old algorithms, such as those based on the theory ofMaxwell¡¯s images, until the development of methods based on the theory of finite elements. In this paperwe describe the features and benefits of a program for the design and analysis of grounding systems forany electrical installation, using the theory of Maxwell¡¯s images. %K During the historical development of electrical engineering %K have developed many methods for calculating the contact resistance grounding electrodes of different configurations %K from approximate methods %K semi exact methods up methods which guarantee good levels of exactness.
