%X En el contexto de la Educaci車n Superior la formaci車n y desarrollo de la calidad del profesorado constituye probablemente uno de sus mayores retos. Para abordarlo racionalmente es preciso en primer lugar determinar la naturaleza de la funci車n del profesor en un marco de gran complejidad y exigencia como es el de la universidad del siglo XXI y posteriormente establecer las bases program芍ticas y estrat谷gicas de su gesti車n. Constituye tambi谷n un elemento fundamental, determinar las caracter赤sticas de los formadores que han de dinamizar estos procesos. En nuestro art赤culo analizamos los espacios preferentes que configuran la actuaci車n del profesorado y la naturaleza de sus interrelaciones. De su estudio derivamos las competencias asociadas a la labor del profesor y desde ellas tratamos de  determinar la naturaleza de los enfoques m芍s al uso en la formaci車n del profesorado universitario as赤 como el  papel que deber芍n jugar sus dinamizadores.   ABSTRACT Training of trainers in Higher Education In the context of higher education the training and development of the teachers＊ quality is probably one of their biggest challenges. To address it rationally we must first determine the nature of the teacher＊s role within a highly complex and demanding environment such as the twenty-first century and then develop the basic program and strategy of its management. It is also a key element, determining the characteristics of the trainers who will boost these processes. In our paper we analyze the preferred spaces that make up the performance of the teachers and the nature of their relationships. From this study we derive the competencies associated with the work of the teacher and from them, we try to determine the nature of the approaches for use in teacher training college and the role that their facilitators must play.
