%X Este artigo tem o objetivo de descrever o perfil da pol¨ªtica do Plano Real ao analisar os ideais do projeto e suas realiza  es. O Plano de estabiliza  o teve seu perfil pol¨ªtico dominado pelo movimento neoliberal, condizente com a l¨®gica mundial de valoriza  o que impera no momento em que ¨¦ posto em pr¨¢tica. Portanto, se por um lado a infla  o foi controlada, por outro, o pa¨ªs continuou sem uma diretriz pr¨®pria de desenvolvimento e crescimento. Nessa perspectiva, as propostas de controle fiscal tinham rela  o com o combate da infla  o apenas de forma indireta. A conclus o ¨¦ que o perfil pol¨ªtico do plano de estabiliza  o foi fortemente influenciado pelas press es externas de controle de gastos p¨²blicos, de tal modo que o ajuste fiscal foi enfim combinado com a proposta Larida no plano implementado com sucesso no que se refere ao controle de pre os. This article aims to describe the political characteristics of the Plano Real by analyzing the ideals of the project and its realizations. The plan of stabilization had its political profile dominated by the neoliberal movement, present in the international logic of valorization by the time it was realized. Therefore, if on one side inflation was controlled, by the other side, Brazil continued without a own direction on how to achieve development and grow. From this perspective, the proposals for fiscal adjustment had only an indirect relation to the struggle against inflation. It concludes that the political profile of the plan was strongly influenced by external pressures of controlling public expenditures. So, the fiscal adjustment was combined with the Larida proposal in the successful Plano Real.
