%X Hasta hace algunos a os la biograf赤a hist車rica no interesaba a los historiadores, quienes hab赤an perdido el inter谷s por el estudio centrado en el individuo y su contexto y se sent赤an atra赤dos por el todo social. Los enfoques actuales de la historia, que procuran recobrar el accionar de los individuos dentro de los procesos sociales rescatando los mecanismos internos en que tienen lugar, han abierto en cambio nuevas y renovadas perspectivas para esta especialidad. El art赤culo se inscribe en esta l赤nea renovada de la biograf赤a hist車rica y se centra en la figura de Juan Costa, un pionero del cooperativismo rural argentino que tuvo destacada actuaci車n en el 芍mbito de la provincia de C車rdoba. El objetivo central del trabajo es recuperar la memoria y el discurso de un actor esencial del mundo rural que no ha sido debidamente considerado, ni menos a迆n estudiado en forma sistem芍tica. Creemos que esta investigaci車n puede llenar un vac赤o historiogr芍fico y ser una herramienta 迆til al conocimiento hist車rico. Las fuentes esenciales para este an芍lisis han sido diarios provinciales y nacionales, peri車dicos del movimiento cooperativo, libros de actas de las instituciones donde actu車 el protagonista, y algunas entrevistas que pudimos realizar. Some years ago the historic biography did not interest historians, who had lost interest over the study centered into the individual and his context and felt attractted to the complete social idea. Nowadays the focus of history is to recover the actions of the individuals inside the social process, rescuing the internal mechanisms in which they have place, this openned in exchange new and anew perspectives for this speciallity. This article takes form in this new line of historic biography centering in Juan Acosta's figure, a pioneer of argentinian rural cooperativism that had a exceptional performance in Cordoba's province. The central objetive of this work is to bring back the memory and discourse of an essential actor of the rural world that has not been adequatelly considered, or even studied in a systematic way. We believe that this investigation can fill an historiographic void and be an useful tool to the historic knowledge. The essential fonts for this analysis had been provincial and national newspapers, cooperative movement's newspapers, books of balance of the institutions were the main character performed, and some interviews.
