%X This article discusses Iman (faith) and and kufr (heresy) in the lights of the schools of Islamic theology, i.e. Mu¡¯tazilite, Murjiah, Ash¡¯arite, and Maturidiyah. The article focuses on the following topic: deeds, pledge (syahadat), tas diq (confirmed by heart) and ma¡¯rifah (knowing by heart). Artikel ini mendiskusikan persoalan Iman dan kafir dalam perspective teologi Islam, yaitu Mu¡¯tazilite, Murjiah, Ash¡¯arite, and Maturidiyah. Beberapa tema penting yang dijelaskan melalui artikel ini, yakni amal, sahadat, tas diq dan ma¡¯rifah. Kata Kunci: Iman, Kufur dan Teologi
