%0 Journal Article %T Excess Parameters on The Ternary Mixtures of Alcohols + Acetonitrile + Dimethylsulphoxide at 303,308 And 313K %A R Ezhilpavai %A S Sujeetha %A L Balu %J World Journal of Science and Technology %D 2011 %I %X The experimental density (¦Ñ), viscosity (h) and velocity (U) have been measured for ternary mixtures of alcohols(1-propanol and 1-butanol) + acetonitrile + dimethylsulphoxide at different temperatures. These data were used to determine the excess molar volume, excess viscosity, excess relaxation time and excess acoustic impedance. The variation of these parameters with compostion of mixture indicates the nature and extent of interaction between unlike molecules. The non-ideal behaviour of the systems studied was explained on the basis of hydrogen bonding.
