%X This paper makes a conceptual approach lo  Scientific Documentation on Education . After that, seven kinds of secondary sources in education are selected and analyzed, those considered most significant to meet the informative needs of education professionals: bibliographies, catalogues, summary reviews, abstracts bulletins, bibliographical indexes, citation indexes and data-bases. The paper concludes remarking both the need and the importance of incorporating knowledge about these secondary information sources to the initial curriculum and to the permanent formation of education professionals. It makes possible the transfer of research results to education practice. En el presente art赤culo se realiza una aproximaci車n conceptual al t谷rmino  Documentaci車n Cient赤fica sobre Educaci車n . Posteriormente se seleccionan y analizan los siete tipos de fuentes secundarias en educaci車n que se consideran m芍s significativos para satisfacer las necesidades informativas de los profesionales de la educaci車n: bibliograf赤as, cat芍logos, boletines de sumarios, revistas de res迆menes, 赤ndices bibliogr芍ficos, 赤ndices de citas y bases de datos. Se concluye subrayando la importancia y la necesidad de incorporar conocimientos sobre las fuentes documentales secundarias consideradas en la formaci車n inicial y permanente de los profesionales de la educaci車n, posibilit芍ndose as赤 la transferencia de los resultados de la investigaci車n a la pr芍ctica educativa.
