The experimental results obtained showed that - under the action of amylases - starch gets hydrolyzed at an amazingly high rate, hydrolysis beginning as early as the first hours of germination; at the same time, major differences have been observed from one species to another. %U http://www.gbm.bio.uaic.ro/index.php/gbm/article/view/447
