%X Este trabajo analiza parte de la obra de la fot車grafa argentina Adriana Lestido, cuya producci車n iniciada en los a os 90 explora espacios institucionales y familiares de lo materno. Sus trabajos con mujeres presas, madres adolescentes o sobre las relaciones entre madres e hijas apuntan a una resignificaci車n de estos v赤nculos a trav谷s de im芍genes en blanco y negro que funcionan como centros de irradiaci車n est谷tica y afectiva. Por medio de los recursos de desaparici車n y acercamiento, separaci車n y encuentro, identificaci車n y desidentificaci車n, Lestido configura universos afectivos y visuales como espacios plurales y conflictivos que hacen visibles las im芍genes faltantes o proscriptas de una determinada sociedad. El recorrido por los rostros femeninos del abandono social o del exceso afectivo configura relatos que ponen en escena experiencias y se vuelven sitios de interpelaciones 谷ticas y est谷ticas. Al mismo tiempo sirven para plantear cuestiones acerca de la construcci車n de la mirada femenina y los modos de representaci車n de la otra. This essay analyzes the visual work of the Argentinean photographer Adriana Lestido. Her production has begun during the 90s, and continues up today exploring institutional and family spaces. This artist is especially concerned on maternity. Drawing on black and white images of imprisoned and teenage mothers, and focusing on the aesthetic and emotional aspects of the relationship between mothers and daughters, Lestido points to a redefinition of these ties. Through the resources of disappearance and proximity, separation and encounter, identification and disidentification, the artist builds up affective and visual worlds as plural and conflicting spaces that turn visible the missing images proscribed in a given society. The travel covering the female faces of social neglect or emotional excess configures stories that set the scene for experience, and the ground for ethical and aesthetic interpellation. These stories also raise questions about the construction of female gaze and the modes of representation of the female other.
