%X Los lipomas son los tumores mesenquimales m芍s frecuentes. La aparici車n de lipomas gigantes a nivel cervical es infrecuente. Es necesaria la realizaci車n de pruebas de imagen para una correcta localizaci車n anat車mica y establecer relaciones con las estructuras vecinas. El tratamiento de elecci車n es la escisi車n quir迆rgica de la masa. Presentamos el caso de un var車n de 59 a os que presenta una tumoraci車n gigante cervical de 10 a os de evoluci車n. La planificaci車n prequir迆rgica en este tipo de casos debe ser exquisita para garantizar la conservaci車n tanto de la funci車n como de la est谷tica cervicofacial. Lipomas are the most common mesenchymal tumors, although giant lipomas of the neck region are uncommon. Imaging is needed to correctly identify the anatomic location of the tumor and its relation to surrounding structures. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice. The case of a 59-year-old man with a giant neck tumor of 10 years evolution is reviewed. Meticulous preoperative planning is required in these cases to ensure a cosmetically and functionally acceptable cervicofacial outcome.
