%X This study was done to evaluate the spatial variability of carbon stock in a red-yellow Latosol humic soil in two plantationsof arabic coffee (Coffea arabica L) variety ¡®catua¨ª¡¯ or ¡®catuca¨ª¡¯ located on hillslope. The carbon stock was determined byth use of soil density and total organic carbon and the data were analyzed by classical and geo-statistics. The carbon stockwas lower under ¡®catuca¨ª¡¯ plantation compared to the area under ¡®catua¨ª¡¯ plantation. In both areas highest stocks werefound on sites of higher soil density.
