%X O objetivo deste artigo ¨¦ analisar as rela  es entre educa  o, etnicidade e mobilidade social em regi o de coloniza  o alem  no Rio Grande do Sul, sobretudo em Santa Cruz do Sul, Brasil, cidade com forte discurso identit¨¢rio germanico. Em que pese ser uma cidade caracterizada pelo germanismo, o que se constatou nas pesquisas at¨¦ aqui realizadas, abrangendo os ¨²ltimos seis anos, ¨¦ que a regi o em quest o possui significativa popula  o de n o-brancos, embora invisibilizada socialmente e exclu¨ªda do processo de pertencimento identit¨¢rio da comunidade regional. As pesquisas realizadas nas escolas municipais, estaduais e privadas na regi o de Santa Cruz do Sul permitem uma an¨¢lise pontual das rela  es entre a educa  o e a imobilidade social, cujo resultado pode ser avaliado na dinamica da visibilidade/invisibilidade identit¨¢ria e processos de exclus o comunit¨¢rio destes grupos, nomeadamente dos afrodescendentes.The objective of this article is to analyze the relations among education, ethnicity and social mobility in the region of German colonization in Rio Grande do Sul, and mainly in Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil, a city with strong German identity speech. Taking into consideration that it is a city characterized by Germanism, what was observed in the researches accomplished until now, including the last six years, is that the region in question has a significant population of non-white people, though socially invisible and excluded from the identitary inclusion process of the region community. The researches that were carried out in the private and public ¨C municipal and state ¨C schools in the region of Santa Cruz do Sul permit sharp analysis of the relations between education and social immobility, which result can be evaluated in the identitary visibility/invisibility dynamic and processes of community exclusion of those groups, nominally of Afro-descendants.
