%X Com os avan os das pesquisas e dos recursos dispon¨ªveis para o atendimento ¨¤ pessoa com S¨ªndrome de Down ¨¦ que se torna poss¨ªvel observar os espa os que esta vem conquistando no mercado de trabalho, assim como no ensino superior. Desta forma, o papel da leitura e escrita ¨¦ fundamental para que este caminho se torne poss¨ªvel. Pensando nestas afirma  es, este estudo traz a seguinte problem¨¢tica: quais artigos relacionam a tem¨¢tica da S¨ªndrome de Down com assuntos como: leitura, escrita e alfabetiza  o? Diante desta quest o ¨¦ que este estudo tem como objetivo identificar os Artigos j¨¢ produzidas na ¨¢rea da S¨ªndrome de Down, focando a leitura, escrita e alfabetiza  o por meio de uma revis o bibliogr¨¢fica pelo SciELo, Google Acad¨ºmico e Portal CAPES. O presente estudo justifica-se na medida em que oferece uma dimens o da totalidade de trabalhos produzidos sobre a tem¨¢tica em quest o, identificando os avan os tidos sobre o assunto. Os dados apontam que a maior parte das pesquisas sobre a S¨ªndrome de Down ¨¦ realizada pela ¨¢rea de biol¨®gicas. ¨¦ poss¨ªvel concluir, portanto, a importancia em se desenvolver mais trabalhos pela ¨¢rea de humanas sobre a pessoa com S¨ªndrome de Down. Na segunda parte deste estudo, sobre a rela  o entre o termo S¨ªndrome de Down e os termos leitura, escrita e alfabetiza  o, foram identificadas contribui  es de diversas ¨¢reas do saber.With advancements in research and available resources for Down Syndrome people it is possible to observe the space they are conquering in labor market, as well as in college. Hence, reading and writing have an essential role in making this path possible. Bearing these statements in mind, this work brings the following question up: how many and which are the articles that have already been produced in Down Syndrome field that focus on reading, writing and literacy? A bibliography research was made via SciELo, Google Scholar and Portal CAPES tools. The present study is justified because it presents the total dimension of academic works about Down Syndrome. Data indicate that most of Down Syndrome research is carried out by the Biology field. It is possible to conclude, therefore, the importance of developing more works about Down Syndrome in Humanities. On the second part of this research, on the relationship between Down Syndrome and reading, writing and literacy terms, contributions in several knowledge areas were identified.
