%X Resumen:El avance que se ha producido en los 迆ltimos tiempos en el 芍rea de las tecnolog赤as de la informaci車n y la comunicaci車n ※TIC§ supone un reto y una oportunidad en el 芍mbito educativo. Uno de los aspectos m芍s relevantes de este desarrollo est芍 relacionado con la introducci車n e implementaci車n de las llamadas plataformas de docencia virtual, basadas en Internet como medio de distribuci車n. En este trabajo describiremos las principales herramientas proporcionadas por ※ILIAS§, la plataforma de software libre elegida por la Universidad de Ja谷n. Tambi谷n se propondr芍 c車mo utilizar ※ILIAS§ como instrumento did芍ctico para el apoyo de la docencia presencial. Para ello, pondremos el ejemplo de c車mo ※ILIAS§ es utilizada en las asignaturas de F赤sica El谷ctrica y F赤sica Mec芍nica de la titulaci車n de Ingenier赤a T谷cnica Industrial en la Universidad de Ja谷n. Partiendo de tales asignaturas discutiremos qu谷 beneficios puede la plataforma ILIAS aportar a la docencia presencial, a qu谷 dificultades podemos enfrentarnos al utilizarla, y c車mo valora el alumnado el uso de esta herramienta. Como conclusi車n, las plataformas virtuales aportan nuevos recursos educativos a la docencia presencial en aspectos tales como la comunicaci車n, la difusi車n de materiales did芍cticos y la evaluaci車n. Estos recursos, pese a sus limitaciones, enriquecen el proceso de aprendizaje y reciben una valoraci車n muy positiva por parte del alumnado.Abstract:The breakthrough occurred lately in the field of information and communication technologies ※ICT§ involves a challenge and a chance in the education sphere. One of the most outstanding aspects of this development has to do with the introduction and implementation of the so-called ※Learning Management Systems§ (LMS) based on the Internet as a distribution means. In this paper we will describe the main tools provided by ※ILIAS§, the open source e-learning management system chosen by the University of Ja谷n. It will also be suggested how to use ※ILIAS§ as a didactic instrument for supporting the classroom teaching. To illustrate this, we will offer the example of how ※ILIAS§ is used in the subjects of Electric Physics and Mechanic Physics from the degree of Technical Industrial Engineering at the University of Ja谷n. Taking such subjects as a specific example, we will discuss which advantages ※ILIAS§ can offer the classroom teaching, which difficulties we could face when using it, and how do students assess the use of this tool.
