%X Resumen: El siguiente art赤culo pretende, a partir de la variable matr赤cula en la Educaci車n Superior, analizar ideas conceptuales de g谷nero y la situaci車n de Costa Rica en cuanto a brechas existentes entre hombres y mujeres. Por eso, presenta los resultados de una investigaci車n exploratoria efectuada a estudiantes de pr芍ctica profesional en la carrera de Orientaci車n de la Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica. Para ello, se llev車 a cabo una encuesta en l赤nea dirigida a una poblaci車n de 15 discentes. Los resultados demuestran que este grupo estudiantil tiene claridad respecto del concepto de g谷nero y sobre qui谷nes son los principales agentes que establecen las diferencias de g谷nero. Se concluye que se deben hacer esfuerzos en las universidades en cuanto a la formaci車n profesional tendiente al tema de equidad de g谷nero.Abstract: This article analyzes the conceptual ideas of gender, as well as the situation in Costa Rica in terms of gaps between men and women based on the tuition fee variable. In addition, the results of an exploratory research carried out to students from the Counseling Major from the Universidad Nacional of Costa Rica were presented. The results showed that students are clear about gender＊s concept, as well as whom the main individuals establishing gender differences are. Conducting an on-line survey to 15 students, it was concluded that great efforts should be made at the universities in their daily teaching to raise awareness about gender equality issues.
