%X In the conducted study, we observed the effect ofcognitive rehabilitation in the stroke patients. Strokepatients irrespective of gender, attending physicalmedicine and rehabilitation OPD and stroke clinic wereincluded in study. Cognitive ability was assessed clinicallyusing relevant assessment scales (MMSE, ACER,) andvarious tasks. Assessment of patients was done at threemonthly intervals (0, 3, 6, 9 months) the results werecompared with control group and analysed by appropriatestatistical methods.There was a significant improvement, in cognitive statusafter 9 month from the from the base line value (paired ttest) in both cases and controls. However, statisticalanalysis failed to show any significant intergroupdifference.
