%X La necesidad de la bio¨¦tica en el curriculum fue discutida durante un reciente encuentro multidisciplinario en la Universidad de Los Andes. En este trabajo se revisan principios ¨¦ticos y los documentos b¨˘sicos de la bio¨¦tica, para recomponer una realidad indivisible. Se menciona la funci¨®n de los comit¨¦s de bio¨¦tica para considerar asuntos referentes a conflictos de inter¨¦s, consentimiento informado y retorno de los beneficios. Debe transmitirse inter¨¦s a los estudiantes de carreras en ciencias de la salud para mejorar el sentido humano en las investigaciones cient¨Şficas, mientras las propuestas acad¨¦micas se oficiliazan Abstract The necessity of bioethics in the curriculum has been discussed in a recent multidisciplinary meeting at the University of The Andes. In this work, ethical principles and key documents on bioethics are reviewed, to re-compose an undivisible reality. The function of bioethical committees to consider matters on conflict of interest, informed consent and return of benefits, is mentioned. Interest should be transmitted to students of carrers in health science to improve the human sense of scientific research, while the academic proposals become official
