%X A medida que la urbanizaci車n aumenta, el crecimiento de las ciudades implica consecuencias en los entornos de las ciudades en todo el mundo. En esta investigaci車n el autor se detiene en el caso de Santiago de Chile, en donde se han producido importantes deseconom赤as y desequilibrios ambientales no previstos por los instrumentos de planificaci車n territorial./The author analyizes the borders of Santiago de Chile and its unbalanced relation with the natural, social and economical environment, ploblems not yet regulated by the current planning instruments.
