%X The use of traditional medicines has provided a crucial support and health system to millions of people around the globe for centuries past and this continues to the present day. In some countries, less than 20% of the population has access to basic generic medicines or healthcare. This highlights the need for a global initiative, such as the World Health Organization¡¯s Millenium Development Goals. This includes fighting child weight deficit, providing access to essential medicines, and treating diseases that significantly impact the health of the community, such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, malaria, and tuberculosis.
