%X En este art赤culo se analiza la evoluci車n de los estudios hist車ricos sobre las mujeres y su influencia en la historiograf赤a espa ola. A pesar de la peculiar situaci車n pol赤tica de la Espa a contempor芍nea, que retras車 el avance del feminismo y, consiguientemente, el inter谷s por las investigaciones sobre las mujeres, en la actualidad, en nuestro pa赤s, las historiadoras utilizamos m谷todos de an芍lisis y planteamientos te車ricos similares a los de nuestras colegas extranjeras, especialmente europeas; basta citar el debate que ha surgido entre las defensoras de una Historia social de las mujeres frente a las partidarias de una historia de las relaciones de g谷nero, entre otros. Especial atenci車n se presta a la labor de las pioneras en la introducci車n de las mujeres como objeto de estudio hist車rico, as赤 como al papel de la revista Arenal y de la asociaci車n AEIHM (Asociaci車n Espa ola de Investigaci車n Hist車rica sobre las Mujeres), que muestran la vitalidad de los trabajos hist車ricos sobre las mujeres en los centros de investigaci車n espa oles. This essay deals with the development of history research on women and its influence on Spanish historiography. The peculiar nature of the political situation of contemporary Spain has slowed down the progress of feminism and, consequently, any interest in research on women. However, Spanish women historians make use of methods of analysis and theoretical frameworks that are similar to those employed by our foreign - especially European - colleagues. A representative example of that would be the debate that has emerged between those who support the idea of a social history of women versus those in favour of a history of gender relations, among others. Special attention is paid to the work of the pioneers in introducing women as objects of historical analysis and as well as to the journal Arenal and to AEIHM (the Spanish Association for the Research on Women's History). All of them show the vitality of history research on women in Spanish research centres.
