%X Los an¨¢lisis sobre la finitud que Heidegger lleva a cabo en su obra temprana son puestas en cuesti¨®n por Emmanuel Levinas y su ¨¦tica de la alteridad, lo que supone nueva forma de pensar la subjetividad misma, la relaci¨®n con el otro y la apertura al tiempo. Se mostrar¨¢ que en la obra de E. Levinas las reflexiones sobre el tiempo est¨¢n precedidas y condicionadas por el encuentro con la alteridad del otro hombre (Autrui), que en la diacron¨ªa de su irrupci¨®n configura la experiencia temporal como lo in-asumible desde el presente de la representaci¨®n. Se niega as¨ª a la muerte como origen del tiempo y del privilegio que el porvenir reviste en la obra de Heidegger: m¨¢s que la posibilidad de la imposibilidad, la muerte es la imposibilidad de la posibilidad, y el hombre, m¨¢s que ser-para-la-muerte, es ser-contra-la-muerte. La finitud adquiere as¨ª un nuevo sentido, en el que la muerte de los otros marca la orientaci¨®n ¨¦tica de la que carece la ontolog¨ªa fundamental. The analysis of finitude that Heidegger held in his earlier work has being questioned by Emmanuel Levinas in his ethics of otherness, which involves a new aproach to subjectivity, the relationship with others and the opening of time. We will show that in the work of E. Levinas the reflections on time are preceded and conditioned by the encounter with the otherness of another man (Autrui), that in the diachrony of his break set up the temporary experience as unassumable in the present of representation. There for, death as origin of time and the privilege of future in the work of Heidegger is denied: death is the impossibility of possibility, and man, rather than a being-towards-death, is a being-against-death. The finitude acquires a new meaning in the death of the others, that highlights the ethical orientation which fundamental ontology lacks.
