%X A fines de 1971 estall¨® en Salinas Grandes una huelga que se prolong¨® a lo largo de 120 d¨ªas ininterrumpidos, llevada adelante por obreros y obreras de la empresa salinera CIBA S.A.. La olla popular fue el centro de la sobrevivencia y tarea exclusiva de las mujeres, obreras salineras unas, esposas de salineros otras. Sin embargo, las acciones de estas mujeres no fueron registradas ni en los peri¨®dicos ni en la historia oficial, por no consider¨¢rselas ni protagonistas, ni militantes. Este mecanismo de "olvido" o de "invisibilizaci¨®n" conduce a la b¨²squeda de los datos faltantes, encarnados en sus voces, a trav¨¦s de la construcci¨®n de testimonios orales. Las depositarias ¨²nicas de esta memoria que permanece silente son, justamente, las testigos y part¨ªcipes de la huelga de 1971-1972. Sus narraciones constituyen el centro de este art¨ªculo que es parte de una investigaci¨®n m¨¢s amplia 1. Socializamos aqu¨ª los primeros se alamientos basados en sus relatos de vida dentro de la trama de las relaciones de g¨¦nero durante la huelga de Salinas Grandes. Towards the end of 1972 there started a strike at Salinas Grandes, which prolonged itself along 120 uninterrupted days, and was carried on by workmen and workwomen of the CIBA S.A. salt-mining enterprise. The popular pot was the nucleus of survival and exclusive task of the women workers in some cases, or workers'wives in others. However, the activities of these women were not registered either in newspapers or the official history, not being considered either as protagonists or militants. This mechanism of "oblivion" or "erasing" leads to the search of the missing data, embodied in their voices, through the construction of oral testimonies. The only depositaries of this silent memory are, precisely, the witnesses and sharers of the 1971-72 strike. Their narratives constitute the centre of this article which is part of a wider investigation. Hereby we divulge the earlier records based on their life narratives, within the scheme of the gender relationships during the Salinas Grandes strike.
