%X Este estudio revisa el discurso de pensadores y pensadoras locales de territorios estuariales donde residen comunidades ind赤genas y chilenas enfrentadas a fuerte presiones externas. El contenido de estos discursos, influido por la ecolog赤a hist車rica que ha moldeado el paisaje, representa un soporte te車rico para nuevas pr芍cticas democr芍ticas que resisten la fragmentaci車n impuesta. La tarea de articular y enunciar estos contenidos recae en intelectuales que contribuyen a la creaci車n de un sentido com迆n que reclama soberan赤a local. En la construcci車n de esta subjetividad cabe un papel significativo a las mujeres fruto del v赤nculo de residencia que establece con el medio y del car芍cter transitivo que tienen en la comunidad. En este art赤culo se subraya: (a) La autor赤a de un sentido com迆n que se propaga en el territorio a trav谷s de las pr芍cticas organizativas de sus habitantes, (b) La importancia que la ecolog赤a hist車rica tiene en la determinaci車n de los discursos locales, y (c) El incipiente desarrollo de formas de soberan赤a local asociadas a la constituci車n y defensa de los paisajes que sirven de soporte a la vida social. The aim of the present study was to analyse and interpret the discourses of local thinkers of estuarine territories inhabited by indigenous and Chilean communities faced with strong external pressures. The contents of these discourses, influenced by the historical ecology that has shaped the landscape, represent a framework for new democratic practices that resist the fragmentation imposed by external agencies. The task of articulating and enunciating these contents rely on intellectuals, who contribute to the creation of a common sense that claims local sovereignty. Due to their relation to the land and to their intermediary position in the community, women have a meaningful role in the construction of that common sense. This article emphasizes: (a) The authorship of a common sense that propagates in the territory through the organizational practices of its inhabitants, (b) The importance of the historical ecology in the determination of the local discourses, and (c) The incipient development of forms of local sovereignty associated with the constitution and defense of a landscape that sustains social life.
