%0 Journal Article %T A look at the evaluation practice in English Language %A Bianca Costa Rodrigues %A Marinalva Pires dos Santos Rocha %A Rejane Maria Gon£żalves %J Via Litterae %D 2011 %I Universidade Estadual de Goi¨˘s %X This article aims at discussing the evaluation of the teaching-learning process of the English Language. For that, we present its concept, history, approaches, functions and some instruments in order to verify the practice of a teacher of English Language of the Ensino Fundamental Segunda. Fase in the city of Bela Vista de Goi¨˘s. Through a descriptive qualitative research, it tries to identify what instruments are used by the teacher, the weight that each one has in the final note and what attitude the teacher has after the evaluating results of the instruments used by her, as well as the theories that are in her practice.
