The contents of pollutants in exhaust gases depend on a mode of work, gases temperature, excess-air factor and other indices of the operation process. The given factors differently influence various groups of harmful components due to the fact that there are significant differences in the mechanisms of their formation. Thus, the research of the existence of any interconnection between separate pollutants, and the influence of external activities of the engine work, is paid a lot of attention to. The experimental analysis of pollutants of ship diesel engines was conducted during the research. Methods of descriptive statistics have been applied in order to investigate the influence of operation process peculiarities and correlation of different groups of pollutants. %K ship diesel engine %K exhaust gases %K mode of work %K descriptive statistics. %U http://astu.org/content/userimages/file/sea_2_2010/17.pdf
