Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), antiphospholipid antibodies and acquired or congenital C and S protein deficiency are thought to play a role in its pathogenesis. Here we report the case of a 4-year-old girl who developed gangrene of all her fingers and toes following dengue shock syndrome complicated by DIC and also discuss its management. %K Antiphospholipid antibodies %K dengue hemorrhagic fever %K purpura fulminans %U http://www.indianjmedsci.org/article.asp?issn=0019-5359;year=2007;volume=61;issue=8;spage=471;epage=473;aulast=Karunatilaka
