%X Qualitative and quantitative characteristics of roach from catches of anglers in the Volga River delta during spring and autumn are evaluated; the volume of total harvest of recreational fishery is deter-mined. The presented materials have indicated quite a significant anthropogenic impact of recreational fishery on roach stock while the roach population is in depression. A total of 835.0 tons of roach was taken by recreational fishery in 2011, that is 35.6 % of the total allowable catch.
