%X A inten  o deste artigo 谷 reconstruir o debate entre Hans-Georg Gadamer e J邦rgen Habermas, transcorrido no fim dos anos 1960, in赤cio dos 70. Em fun  o do recorte hist車rico, n o ser o levados em considera  o os posteriores desenvolvimentos dos pensadores mencionados, mas se pretende examinar a problem芍tica central do debate relativa 角 dif赤cil rela  o entre tradi  o hist車rica e reflex o cr赤tica. A tens o entre esses dois termos ser芍 utilizada como refer那ncia para a discuss o das rela  es entre hermen那utica e teoria cr赤tica. The intention of this article is to reconstruct the debate between Hans-Georg Gadamer and J邦rgen Habermas which occurred between the end of the 1960s and the start of the 1970s. In order to observe this period the later developments of these thinkers won＊t be taken into account. The article plans to examine the central problematic of the debate related to the difficult relationship between historic tradition and critical reflection. The tension between these two terms will be used as a reference for discussing the relationships between hermeneutics and critical theory.
