%X This paper describes the contribution of the Romanian research team within the international project NEOROM. The project aims at building a lexical database consisting in neologisms which occur in newspapers written in all Romance languages since 2004. The paper has three parts. In the first one, we present the monitoring system adopted by the Romanian team, in the second one we describe the NEOROM interface, which allows to register the neological words in the database, whereas in the third part we give a short characterization of the words in the database, from theviewpoint of their formation.
