%X This CAT (Critically Appraised Topic) answered the question: in subjects at high risk for prostate cancer, can lycopene reduce incidence and mortality of this cancer? The clinical question was analyzed in three parts: patient, intervention and outcome. The purpose was to verify the validity and applicability of the results regarding lycopene consumption on effectiveness in reducing the incidence of prostate cancer.
