%X Abnormal uterine hemorrhage is the presence ofexcessive and prolonged menstrual bleeding during various consecutivemenstrual cycles. In most cases its origin is endometrial.It¡¯s the second cause for gynecological consultation, only precededby leucorreas. A rapid evaluation should be done for possible genital, obstetric or systemic disease dependant factors, consideringbleeding severity which determines the type of treatment. Thispaper is a narrative revision of literature of this topic and presentsa management algorithm.
