%X En la intraplaca argentina, entre los 31o 45' y 32o 45' de latitud S, en el frente occidental de la Sierra Chica, Sierras Pampeanas de C車rdoba, la presencia de morfolog赤as superficiales y deformaciones en sedimentos cuaternarios permiten deducir que la actividad tect車nica ne車gena en la regi車n, tuvo continuidad en el Holoceno y probablemente ha tenido asociada la ocurrencia de paleoterremotos. Los objetivos de la presente contribuci車n son presentar nuevas evidencias de deformaciones cuaternarias asociadas a la falla Sierra Chica, extender su traza hacia el sur en la llanura y hacer una estimaci車n preliminar del potencial sismog谷nico asociado a esta estructura. Se relevaron siete perfiles transversales a la traza de una falla secundaria del frente principal de levantamiento de la Sierra Chica. Estos presentan el basamento cristalino prec芍mbrico, dep車sitos conglomer芍dicos y sedimentos no cohesivos cuaternarios, afectados por deformaciones d迆ctiles y fr芍giles correspondientes a reactivaciones pleistocenas y holocenas de la estructura. Los resultados obtenidos han permitido extender la traza de la falla hacia el S en la llanura hasta el arroyo Tegua, relevar estructuras deformacionales en sedimentos finos no reportadas hasta el presente y estimar la magnitud m芍xima de un terremoto futuro, entre Ms 6,7-7,5 y Mw=7,5, asociado a la falla Sierra Chica. In the argentinean intraplate, between the 31o 45' and 32o 45' of latitude S, in the western front of the Sierra Chica, Sierras Pampeanas of Cordoba, the presence of superficial morphology and deformations in quaternary sediments allow to deduce that the Neogene tectonic activity in the region, had continuity in the Holocene and probably it has had the occurrence associate of paleoearthquakes. The objectives of the present contribution are presents new evidences of quaternary deformations associated with the Sierra Chica fault, to extend his trace towards the south in the plain and to do a preliminary estimation of the seismogenic potential associated with this structure. Seven transverse profiles were relieved to the trace of a secondary fault of the principal uplift front of the Sierra Chica. They present the Precambrian crystalline basement, conglomerate and not cohesive quaternary sediments deposits affected by ductile and fragile deformations corresponding to reactivations during of Pleistocene and Holocene of the structure. The obtained results have allowed to extend the trace of the fault towards the S in the plain up to the Tegua creek, to relieve structures deformacionales in thin sediments not was report
