%X La Revoluci車n francesa impuso una ruptura en el r谷gimen pol赤tico vigente hasta 1789, trasladando la soberan赤a del rey a la Naci車n, sin rechazar, no obstante, el principio de gobierno mon芍rquico. Esta coexistencia entre el rey y la Asamblea Nacional gener車 en la 迆ltima una urgencia por legitimarse ante la opini車n p迆blica. La creaci車n de nuevas ceremonias y s赤mbolos nacionales fue una de las tantas estrategias utilizadas para ello. Este art赤culo se ocupa de los funerales de Estado celebrados en 1791 y de los alcances pol赤ticos que representaron al suponer una disputa simb車lica entre el monarca y la Asamblea. The French Revolution imposed a rupture in the dominant political regime until 1789, by transferring the sovereignty from the king to the Nation, without rejecting, however, the principle of monarchic government. This coexistence between the king and the National Assembly generated in the latter the urgency for legitimate itself before the public opinion. The creation of new ceremonies and national symbols was one of the many strategies used to it. This article deals with the State funerals held in 1791, and deals with the political implications that they represented by supposing a symbolic dispute between the monarch and the Assembly.
