%X Se realiz車 un estudio descriptivo y transversal para evaluar el impacto del Servicio de Hemodi芍lisis en el municipio de Palma Soriano, provincia de Santiago de Cuba, desde julio de 2008 hasta marzo de 2009, con vistas a lo cual fueron encuestados los 39 pacientes que recib赤an esa atenci車n en el per赤odo analizado y los profesionales del sector sanitario que en aquellos meses la brindaban. Se hall車 que la hipertensi車n arterial fue la principal causa de morbilidad intradial赤tica (89,7 %), as赤 como tambi谷n que todas las personas atendidas por presentar insuficiencia renal cr車nica y todos los prestadores de salud que las asistieron, se mostraron satisfechos con los buenos resultados, de donde se infiri車 que la implementaci車n del tratamiento dial赤tico en el territorio tuvo una gran aceptabilidad por parte de la poblaci車n palmera y el personal encargado de aplicarlo. A descriptive and cross-sectional study to assess the Hemodialysis Service impact on Palma Soriano municipality, Santiago de Cuba province, was carried out from July, 2008 to March, 2009. A total of 39 patients, who received that care, as well as health providers in charge of that service, were surveyed in the aforementioned period. It was found that hypertension was the primary cause of interdialytic morbidity (89,7 %). Furthermore, all the persons attended due to chronic renal failure and those health workers who offered the service were satisfied with the good results achieved. Starting from this, it was inferred that the implementation of the dialytic therapy in the territory had a great acceptability for both Palma Soriano∩s population and health providers.
