%X The purpose of the present paper is to show the most important elements in Lacan¡äs presentation related to the section titled The Essence of Tragedy in his seminar The Ethics of Psychoanalysis, by extracting from it the nodal aspects between ethics and tragedy. This commentary, despite being ruled by the lessons in the above mentioned section, will use Sophocles¡¯ works as a direct reference to find the aspects dealing with tragedy. This is an attempt to set some consequences related to the analytical experience and the statute of the subject and the Other within the frame of the ethics of tragedy. // El presente texto tiene por objetivo mostrar los elementos relevantes de la exposici¨®n de Lacan a prop¨®sito del apartado intitulado La Esencia de la Tragedia del seminario la ¨¦tica del Psicoan¨¢lisis, extrayendo de all¨ª los aspectos nodales entre la ¨¦tica y la tragedia. Dicho comentario, pese a estar reglado por las lecciones que corresponden al apartado en cuesti¨®n, tendr¨¢n como referencia directa la obra de S¨®focles para dar luz a lo correspondiente con la tragedia. Con ello se pretende fijar algunas consecuencias en relaci¨®n con la experiencia anal¨ªtica y el estatuto del sujeto y del Otro en el marco de la ¨¦tica tr¨¢gica.
