%X Este art赤culo analiza la naturaleza y evoluci車n del trabajo femenino e infantil en la moderna empresa productora de bienes a lo largo del per赤odo 1911-1928, en nueve provincias, las que concentraban la mayor cuota de empleo de este tipo. Sostiene que la contribuci車n laboral de mujeres y ni os aport車 significativamente a la diversificaci車n y expansi車n de la actividad industrial en el pa赤s, aunque su evoluci車n estuvo caracterizada por marcadas fluctuaciones que 迆ltimamente llevaron a la disminuci車n de estos actores en el mercado de trabajo fabril. Este fen車meno estuvo influido, de un lado, por el impacto de la Gran Guerra y la inestabilidad que le sigui車 en la econom赤a nacional y, de otro, por las preocupaciones sociales y las crecientes regulaciones laborales impuestas a la actividad. Hacia 1930 el contingente de mujeres hab赤a decrecido considerablemente y los ni os eran pr芍cticamente inexistentes en la industria. This article analyses the nature and evolution of female and child labor in the wealth producing company throughout the perioded 1911-1928, in nine provinces in which were concentrated the major employment of this bind. It shows that the contribution of woman and child labor contributed significantly to the diversification and expansion of the industrial activity in the country -despite the fact its that evolution was characterized by marked fluctuations that ultimately led to the relative decline of these participants in the industrial labor market. This phenomenon was influenced, on the one hand, by the impact of the Great War and the inestability that followed in the national economy and, on the other, by the social procupation and the growing restrictions imposed on the activit. By the 1930∩s the female work force had decreased considerably and children were practically absent from factories.
