%X La introducci車n del cat谷ter venoso central (CVC) ha significado un gran avance en la medicina moderna y su uso generalizado ha permitido el desarrollo de nuevas t谷cnicas diagn車sticas y tratamientos especializados. La cateterizaci車n intravascular es uno de los procedimientos m芍s comunes realizados en la actualidad. Se utiliza para la monitor赤a hemodin芍mica, hemodi芍lisis, el soporte metab車lico y nutricional, la administraci車n de l赤quidos, quimioterapia y antibioticoterapia prolongada, sangre y derivados, entre otros. ABSTRACT The introduction of the central venous catheter (CVC) has meant a great advance in the modern medicine and its generalized use has allowed the development of new techniques you diagnose and specialized treatments. The intravascular catheterizetion is one of the most common procedures made in the present time. It is used for hemodynamic monitory, hemodynamic monitory, metabolic and nutritional support, the administration of liquids, chemotherapy and prolonged antibiotic therapy, blood and derivatives, among others.
