Century. His scholar side appears as a teacher, qadi and naq b¨¹le raf with several books which he wrote at some matters of fiqh. He also wrote a m¨¹retteb (tidy, orderly) divan and a sak name, in which its mystical side was reflected as a poet. The subjects of his qasidas is the laud of some padishahs, two sheikhulislams and vizier Muezzinzade Ahmed Pasha with the description of his journey to hadj and Jerusalem where he worked as a qadi (chief judge). His qasida, the text given in this work, has a crucial importance considering the prohibition of smoking tobacco that was a disputatious matter during the reign of Murad IV.Despite his eminence mentioned above, we cannot find any research done on neither on Allame eyh nor his works apart from some biographical information. In this article, I examined why he has not been the subject of a research so far, and reached the conclusion that, the mistakes committed in the process of identifying the works and names of the mahlasda (poets who bears the same pen name) poets and their inferiority complex about other poets explain the situation as we experience in the case of Allame eyhi. %K Allame eyh %K diwan %K tobacco %U http://www.turkishstudies.net/sayilar/sayi5/yazarsadik.pdf
