%X La naturaleza y raz車n de ser de las organizaciones depende en gran parte de las condiciones de informaci車n bajo las que transcurren las transacciones entre los agentes. El dise o organizativo trata de optimizar el uso de la informaci車n para resolver los problemas de coordinaci車n e incentivos que surgen en las acciones colectivas, con el objetivo de crear la m芍xima riqueza posible, o lo que es lo mismo, minimizando los costes de transacci車n. La Contabilidad, en su triple funci車n de dar soporte a la toma de decisiones, proporcionar los indicadores de resultados para la evaluaci車n y el control interno y dar cuenta a los inversores de los rendimientos del capital invertido, tiene como materia prima principal la informaci車n. La informaci車n es, pues, el nexo de uni車n entre la organizaci車n de las acciones colectivas y la Contabilidad. El trabajo analiza con cierto detenimiento este nexo desde las contribuciones del an芍lisis econ車mico de la informaci車n. Information is a key variable to understand the nature and internal functioning of organisations and markets. The internal design of organisations seeks to make the best possible use of the information available in order to efficiently solve the problems of coordination and motivation within the organisational boundaries; it also influences the definition of tasks and the relations among them in order to change information needs. Accounting plays a tripe role in organisations, decision, control and bonding (specially with respect to third parties such as investors). All of them rely on information production, analysis and transmission. Information is then the nexus between Accounting and Organisation and this paper explores common interests and opportunities for research in the two fields of knowledge.
