%X The paper presents a general overview of recent developments in the eddy-current non-destructive evaluation. Basic principle of the eddy-current non-destructive testing is explained and possible applications of the method in noninvasive evaluation of conductive materials are summarized. Actual issues of research and development in this field are discussed. A novel method for depth evaluation of a detected crack using eddy-current testing signals is proposed
