%X El entorno competitivo de las entidades de dep¨®sito ha sufrido fuertes cambios durante las dos ¨²ltimas d¨¦cadas, y en la actualidad se caracteriza por una fuerte rivalidad entre las empresas del sector. En este contexto, las entidades bancarias deben dotarse de sistemas de informaci¨®n ¨¢giles y flexibles que les permitan dar respuesta a las nuevas necesidades gerenciales y a las actuales exigencias de la direcci¨®n estrat¨¦gica. Desde esta perspectiva, en el presente trabajo se estudian las caracter¨ªsticas de los distintos sistemas de transferencia interna de fondos aplicables en las entidades bancarias, procediendo a un an¨¢lisis comparativo de los mismos, y, posteriormente, se presentan los principales rasgos que caracterizan a los sistemas de transferencia de fondos correspondientes a las cajas de ahorros y a las cajas rurales, a partir de los resultados obtenidos de una encuesta realizada en dichas entidades. The competitive environment of monetary financial institutions has undergone great changes over the last two decades, and at present is characterized by strong competition among the companies of the sector. In this context, the monetory financial institutions should be endowed with agile and flexible information systems that allow them to respond to the new managerial necessities and the current demands of Strategic Management. Thus, in this paper, first we analyse the characteristics of the different funds-tranfer- pricing methods applicable in the banks and go on to carry out a comparative analysis of the former. Secondly, we present the main features that characterize the funds-transfer-pricing methods in Spanish Savings Banks and Spanish Rural Banks, based on the results obtained from a survey carried out among these companies.
