%0 Journal Article %T Satisfaction assessment of the patients admitted into service odontology in Dakar %A Diouf M %A Cisse D %A Lo CMM %A Faye D %J Pratiques et Organisation des Soins %D 2010 %I %X Aim: Faced with the needs and the requirements of the citizens in the field of the dental care, this study aimed to measure the satisfaction of the patients compared to the care lavished in the service of odontology of the National School of Medical and Social Development of Dakar. Methods: This descriptive and transverse study related to 400 patients selected starting from a simple random sample. The data were collected using a questionnaire of satisfaction then analyzed with the software R on plans unvaried and multivaried. The threshold of significance was fixed at 5%. Results: The sample comprised 52% of women, the patients were 6 years old to 86 years, for an average age 30,1 years¡À12,5 years. The patients expressed satisfaction for comfort (79,1%) and for the intimacy (93,4%). On the other hand, they were less satisfy of dental staff (21,4%). Compared to the information received on the treatment and in the conditions of hygiene and cleanliness, 50% of the patients were satisfied. The variables of listening, information, respect of the intimacy, the conditions of hygiene and recommendation, after adjustment, were statistically associated with the variable of total satisfaction. Conclusion: At the end of this study, elements of progress are to be developed for a good taken care of the patients require the implementation of a programme of motivation of the students, in order to increase their capacity has to be more attentive with the expression of the needs and waitings of the patients.
