%X El trabajo social siempre se identific車 con la intervenci車n con las familias y 谷sta viene sufriendo diversas modificaciones expresadas en el 芍mbito de las pol赤ticas sociales, como se puede observar en la Pol赤tica Nacional de Asistencia Social (Brasil) y la nueva Ley Catalana de Servicios Sociales (Catalunya). La presente comunicaci車n pretende dar a conocer el estudio comparado que se est芍 realizando sobre c車mo los trabajadores sociales intervienen con las familias en los servicios sociales de atenci車n primaria. El estudio se enmarca en el marco del doctorado "Educaci車n y Sociedad" de la facultad de Pedagog赤a de la Universitad de Barcelona; y de la l赤nea de investigaci車n "Trabajo Social con Familias" del GRITS - "Grup de Recerca i Innovaci車 en Treball Social", del departamento de trabajo social-UB. La metodolog赤a utilizada tiene un abordaje cualitativo; como m谷todo de investigaci車n el estudio de casos; y como instrumentos de recogida de datos la observaci車n participante, la entrevista individual en profundidad y los grupos de discusi車n. Se presentan algunas similitudes y diferencias entre las pol赤ticas p迆blicas y la intervenci車n de los trabajadores sociales de atenci車n primaria en los dos pa赤ses. Las primeras impresiones y reflexiones generadas por la observaci車n participante y la revisi車n bibliogr芍fica apuntan para la importancia de generar y/o fortalecer la intervenci車n grupal y comunitaria y el trabajo en red. Social work has always been identified with family intervention. Families have suffered several modifications expressed in the social policies, according to the National Police of Social Assistance (Brazil) and the new Catalonian Law of Social Services (Catalunya). This work will present a comparative study about how social workers are working with the families in the Social Services Primary Health Care Centers. The study is framed within the PH.D "Education and Society" of the University of Barcelona, and from the research "Social Work with Families" of GRITS - Social Work's Research and Innovation Group, of the department of Social work-UB. The methodology used is a qualitative approach; the research method is the case study; and the instruments are participant observation, in-depth individual interview and discussion groups. The results show the similarities and differences between the public polices and the intervention of social workers in primary care in the two countries.
