%X En este art¨ªculo se describen y analizan Ios principales acontecimientos sociales y pol¨ªticos que marcaron el segundo a o de gobierno de Sebasti¨¢n Pi era. Como veremos, el 2011 estuvo marcado por un aumento significativo de procesos de movilizaci¨®n social que llevaron a la calle la expresi¨®n de sus demandas sociales, y que mostraron la incapacidad del gobierno y los partidos pol¨ªticos en su conjunto de hacer frente a estos nuevos desaf¨ªos. Estos acontecimientos y sus consecuencias pol¨ªticas son indicios de que el sistema pol¨ªtico chileno puede estar cambiando, generando un alto grado de incertidumbre respecto a c¨®mo ellos se desarrollar¨¢n en el futuro. This article describes and analyzes the main social and political events of the second year of Sebasti¨¢n Pi eras government. The year 2011 showed a significant increase of social mobilization processes, that took to the streets the expression of social demands, showing the government' and political parties' inability to cope with these new challenges. These events and their political consequences are evidence of possible changes in the Chilean political system, producing a high level of uncertainty as to how they will develop in the future.
